Hello, and welcome! I'm Ross Bulat, a software engineer with a passion for building innovative blockchain solutions. Over the years, I've focused on turning complex protocols into practical tools and dashboards that help developers and users alike.

A Bit About Me​

  • Blockchain Engineer: My primary focus is on blockchain development—designing, implementing, and optimizing distributed systems that power next-generation applications.

  • Top 1% Medium Writer (2020): I spent several years crafting articles on Medium, where I ranked among the top 1% of writers in 2020, sharing deep dives into web application development and developer tooling.

  • Parity Alumni (2022-2024): I worked at Parity Technologies on the staking and nomination pool system, helping secure the network and streamline user staking experiences.

  • MSc student in Artificial Intelligence: Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on AI technologies. I hold a batchelor's degree in video game production.

My Recent Work & Creations​

My recent work centers around the Polkadot ecosystem, where I've been building tools and libraries to enhance the developer experience. Some of my notable projects include:

  • Polkadot Staking Dashboard: A web-based dashboard that provides real-time staking insights, historical metrics, and intuitive controls for nominating validators.

  • W3ux Library: A lightweight UI toolkit designed to accelerate the development of blockchain-focused web apps with reusable components and hooks.

  • Polkadot Live: I concepted and announced the first Polkadot desktop application offering real-time notifications and quick chain interactions, directly from your desktop menu.
